A Star Wars fan is to attempt to walk to the summit of Britain's highest mountain while dressed in his Imperial stormtrooper armour.
On Saturday, 28th March our Imperial Scottish Squad Leader Ian MacPherson presented the Children's Hospice Association of Scotland (CHAS) with a cheque for £5,000 raised from their sterling fundraising efforts in 2014.
On Friday 6th March the UKG went along to support the Big Yellow Friday Walk in Birmingham City Centre. They also went along to support fellow UKG member Clive Barzillia as this event was raising money for a cause very close to his heart, the Children's Liver Disease Foundation (CLDF).
Star Wars warriors invaded the city of Cardiff this weekend. The men, ready for combat, dressed up in full Star Wars regalia hailed from the UK Garrison and were fund raising for Children in Need. About one thousand pounds were raised during the event.
The UK Garrison is very proud to have raised £49,714.31 this year* for the UKG Charity Fund. This money has been raised by the tireless efforts of our members across the country attending numerous events through the year.
Congratulations to Dean Smith, UKG Trooper of the Year 2014 and Suzi Stelling, recipient of the Graham Campbell Award 2014.
