The 501st Legion's United Kingdom Garrison deployed to Elstree Studios in Borehamwood today in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Lucasfilm, and to raise money for the FIRST worldwide charity.
The Garrison paraded through the Elstree streets and entered the studios with flags flying, assembling at “The George Lucas Stage” (Stage 1 was renamed the George Lucas Stage in 1999 in George’s honour, and saw many reels of filming of Star Wars).
Mr. Roger Morris, the Managing Director of Elstree Studios greeted us and posed for photos in front of the famous George Lucas Stage as Elstree Studios and Lucasfilm have many years of collaboration with the production of Star Wars movies.
The 501st Legion are taking part in the worldwide campaign, “1138: Celebrating 50 Years of Lucasfilm”, in support of FIRST. FIRST is the world’s leading youth-serving non-profit advancing STEM education.

The month of June is a month to celebrate how far we have come together with #PRIDE.
The UK Garrison and the 501st Legion supports all their members and wants to provide a safe space where everyone belongs.
The UK Garrison were deployed to the Weald County Show last weekend, as intelligence reports indicated the existence of droids and cookies.
No droids were found but we can assure you we will keep looking.
On what would have been his 77th birthday, we celebrate the tall and gentle fuzzball that portrayed the original Chewbacca, Peter Mayhew.
