Our troopers were on hand to provide an imperial presence and put smiles on faces during our visit for patients and families at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.
This is a regular visit for us and the UK Garrison are more than happy to make these memories, and be able to make some poorly little ones smile and just for a while, take their minds off their conditions, treatments and the day to day issue they may have.
Our troopers on the day were:
Rikki Teml (27378) Biker Scout, Debbie Teml (27477) was our helper/spotter, and Stormtroopers Jay Hill (23087) and Simon Dawson (89135). Parental permission granted to show you all this photo of our little blaster-tooting trooper in the making.
Well done troopers.
The 501st UK Garrison were in Bluewater last weekend to support the Marks & Spencer Macmillan Fundraiser.
Troopers on the day were Paul Mannering (Darth Vader), Tracey Fennell (Legacy Era Female), Daniel Hunter-Pike (Stormtrooper), Dave Gilmore (Stormtrooper) and Mark Brooks (Spiderman). Our spotters on the day were Tom Barry and Martyn Fennell and together they raised over £600 towards Marks & Spencers Macmillan support campaign.
Despite shocking weather, well done to everyone who attended the Kearsley & Ringley Con Club (Manchester) Family Fun Day Macmillan Fundraiser on Sunday 26th August. The UK Garrison were on hand to support and help the event raised £2,536 to help support people suffering from Cancer.
On the 18th of August Imperial forces of the 501st were dispatched to Gibraltar for the first time ever to support the RAOB Charity Boat race, Gibraltar Cardiac Association, and GBC Open Day Appeal.
TK22201 (Shaun Lister) of the UK Garrison and TK77700 (Andoni Serrano) of the Spanish Garrison made land fall and heard rumours of a Rebel incursions in the area. Imperial forces went in pursuit and rescued an Imperial R2 Unit of the Pink Force. The R2-KT Ambassador Droid was found and reunited with imperial forces in the British Overseas Territory and is now under guard by TK22201 and TK77700.
Big thank you to Spanish Garrison and the Pink force for attending this historical first event in Gibraltar by the 501st UK Garrison, Cristina Urtiaga Martin... and an unexpected fan dressed as Darth Maul.
Delighted to announce that a whopping £7,757.74 was raised on the day and all proceeds will be divided equally between the Gibraltar Cardiac Association and the GBC Open Day Appeal.

The Imperial Scottish Squad Leader Sheraz Khwaja presented Nicola and Lauren, the wife and daughter of our late founder Graham Campbell, with a framed UKG patch and Commemorative Founder's patch today.
Lovely gesture Sheraz and we are thrilled you managed to organise this :-)
